At 12:00pm on Valentine’s Day (Tuesday February 14, 2017) we will be delivering a giant Valentine’s card to the offices of Congressmen Peter King (Massapequa Park) and Lee Zeldin (both Patchogue and Riverhead) asking them to stand up for their constituents and oppose the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Come by and sign ours, or make your own. If you can’t join us that day, but still want your message to be delivered, here’s how you can participate:
1. Make a valentine and deliver it in person to the LIPC office. A short story about how the ACA has helped you or someone you know is perfect.
2. Create a digital valentine and email it to: firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Share your health care story. Make a video telling us why the ACA is important to you (or your family) and post it here.
This event is sponsored by: the Long Island Progressive Coalition, Long Island Activists, the New York State Nurse’s Association and 1199SEIU (United Healthcare Workers East)
