Join the Suffolk County Democratic Socialists of America for our 6th chapter meeting! We have a carpool system (see below) and will have a Childcare Professional on-site.

We will be doing the following:
— Meet and greet over snacks (feel free to bring something!)
— A breakout session where we will discuss our vision of a fully decommodified healthcare system and share our healthcare horror stories.
— A Q+A session where you will have an opportunity to ask our resident New York Health Act (NYHA) expert, Mariana, on how the proposed bill could help improve care and access for all.
— Report backs from our committees and working groups
– Discuss how our first DSA day of canvassing for the New York Health Act went
— Discuss the next steps for our Mobility For All Campaign
— Discuss the latest on our new member Handbook and chapter Code of Conduct
— New member introductions and Feedback session.

The DSA is a family-friendly organization, therefore folks of all ages are welcome and encouraged at this event. This event is wheelchair accessible and there are two accessible parking spots near the entrance, which is at the back of the building from the Montauk Highway entrance. Please contact Rose at rosesayre [at] gmail [dot] com for questions and assistance regarding accessibility.
