Crimes Against Women: Why the Brooklyn DA Race Matters

While our criminal justice system has produced mass incarceration of non-violent offenders, it has systematically failed to hold predators accountable for violent crimes against women, girls, and vulnerable populations.

Nearly 1 in 5 American women have experienced rape or attempted rape. Only about 6% of rapists receive a jail sentence for their crime

Find out what YOUR next Brooklyn District Attorney will do to:
– effectively prosecute the crimes of rape and sexual assault
– take on domestic violence and human trafficking
– ensure immigrants receive fair treatment
– address the rise in hate crimes in our communities

Please join NOW-NYC and our co-sponsor, the YWCA of Brooklyn, to meet the candidates in the Brooklyn District Attorney race and get informed for the upcoming election.

This event is free to NOW members or $10 for non-members. Or join NOW-NYC at $20 for an annual membership to attend this forum and future members-only events. Your membership supports our advocacy, lobbying, public services, and programming.
