Please join us for the much anticipated premiere of Al Gore’s acclaimed “An Inconvenient Truth: Truth to Power” – the sequel to “An Inconveneinet Truth” that helped fuel the movement bringing awareness to our climate change crises.
Former Vice President Al Gore continues his tireless fight, traveling around the world training an army of climate champions and influencing international climate policy. Cameras follow him behind the scenes-in moments private and public, funny and poignant-as he pursues the empowering notion that while the stakes have never been higher, the perils of climate change can be overcome with human ingenuity and passion.
The film will be introduced by Legislator William Spencer who will speak to some of the local environmental work and concerns in LI as well as Marisol Maddox, a Climate Security Research Fellow at Wright Thomas Internationa, and Margaret Maher of Food & Water Watch, which champions healthy food and clean water for all.
This screening is Co-Presented by Action Together Long Island (ATLI) and sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, Humanities NY and Stu and Ginger Polisner.
