Are you interested in learning more about the New York Health Act? Have you heard about the Independent Democratic Conference (IDC), but don’t quite know what that’s about?

Come to Hinterlands Bar at 739 Church Ave. on Thursday, June 15, from 6pm to 7:30pm, and find out how to enact progressive change at the state level in New York.

We’ll have representatives from Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) – NY Metro Chapter and No IDC NY giving brief presentations on their work, and answering questions. We’ll also provide information for attendees who want to follow up this informational session by joining one of the many groups on the ground in Brooklyn currently working to resist the Trump agenda at the state and local levels.

Schedule:
6pm-6:30pm: Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) – NY Metro Chapter speaker Katie Robbins presentation on the New York Health Act; Q&A to follow
6:45pm-7:15pm: No IDC NY speaker Seth Pollack presentation on the Independent Democratic Conference; Q&A to follow

The event is free and open to the public, and will be held in the back room at Hinterlands Bar. The bar serves food, too, and has a pretty backyard.

About Physicians for a National Health Program (PNHP) – NY Metro Chapter
The mission of PNHP is to educate physicians, other health workers, and the general public on the need for a comprehensive, high-quality, publicly-funded health care program, equitably-accessible to all residents of the United States.
PNHP’s goal is the restoration of what it views as the primary mission of physicians, acting as professional advocates for our patients.
PNHP is an independent, non-partisan, voluntary organization. PNHP’s work is supported by our members’ dues and contributions, and by grants from progressive foundations; it accepts no funding from pharmaceutical companies or other for-profit entities. PNHP organizes physicians, medical students, other health workers, and the public in support of this program and promotes discussion of health policy in the U.S. through conferences, lectures, articles, and other methods.

About No IDC NY
No IDC NY is a grassroots coalition demanding a real, progressive majority in the New York State Senate. Formed in the aftermath of Trump’s election, we educate voters about the Democrats who’ve left their party to put Republicans in power in Albany. We do outreach, organize demonstrations, and raise money as a registered multi-candidate committee.
