All Ages Welcome! Exhibits, Performers, Speakers, Ceremonial Tree Planting and Historic Peace Pole Re-dedication, Vendors, Refreshments – all Earth Friendly! Long Island Earth Day 2020 is a grassroots effort joining individuals and groups to initiate activities which will demonstrate our connection to and love for the Earth, our concern about the deadly harm we are doing to her, and the many ways in which our personal and joint actions can foster healing change. Our hope is to tap the energy and awareness of as many people as possible, that they may participate and commit to the well being of Earth through personal and joint actions. Goals include the education and involvement of people caring for the Earth through the celebration of Earth’s bounty and beauty, while recognizing her fragility. Our call is to action, especially Climate Action, focusing on Earth’s restoration and health.

Planning is ongoing for this major public festival celebrating 50 years since the first Earth Day will be held on Sunday, September 20 at Southaven County Park, located along the Carmen’s River. Any group aligned with these goals wishing to be an endorser of LI Earth Day 2020 may contact us by call or text to: (631) 523-4663 or email: southcountrypeacegroup@yahoo.com .
