Please join us for a night of drinks, food, and music as we celebrate and honor two leaders in our movement for justice and liberation!

WRL’s 2017 Peace Award Recipient, Mariame Kaba, is a Black feminist, abolitionist, and freedom dreamer. This year, we honor Mariame for her 20 years organizing in Chicago, striving to dismantle the prison industrial complex and dreaming of a world where Black women and girls can be free. Join us as we award Mariame in person!

WRL’s Grace Paley Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient, Rasmea Odeh, is a Palestinian activist, organizer, and force of nature. This year, we honor Rasmea for embodying “Resistance Lives Forever,” for five decades of resisting Israeli occupation despite imprisonment, torture, and solitary confinement. While Rasmea will not be here in person, please join us as we reveal our award-giving video from WRL friends and family in Chicago!

We ask folks to give a sliding scale admission of $10-$20 at the door to sustain our movement, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Our building is located off the accessible Canal St 6 train in New York City and is accessible via elevators in both front and back of the building.

Please call us at 212-228-0450 for any accomodations or questions. We hope to see you there!
